Lake elevation is 6950' above sea level. With all this Sierra Summit snow pack underneath the soil, you know the creeks are flowing well around here. This beauty is highway accessible, south of Yosemite, deep into the Sierra NF. Explore more at Huntington Lake. Back roads go on forever. See way more out by Ward Lake. Hike to Rancheria Falls with a picnic. Rent a sail boat on the lake, for the whole damn day. Lake campgrounds, creek camp grounds, plenty destinations to choose from. Ultimate primitive spots for camping too.
aspendell, CA
This Eastern Sierra cabin community is situated among granite and creeks, at 8500 feet elevation - high above Bishop in the Owens Valley. Lake Sabrina, North Lake & South Lake are all very accessible from Aspendell. The mountain scenery is incredible. Plan to spend more than one day way back here. Hike the John Muir Wilderness trails, backpack Bishop Pass, fish Bishop Creek, camp Inyo National Forest, off road Coyote Flat, and take in the spectacular sights and heights of the High Sierra.

Klamath River, Shasta River, Scott River, Lake Shastina are just a few of the local destinations surrounding Yreka, California. Located just off Interstate 5, just below the Oregon border, this historic town has a nice downtown and plenty outdoor recreation options nearby. Klamath National Forest encompasses the Northern California region, with Lava Bed National Monument not too far away. If you are seeking fishing, camping or hunting for your vacation, than this is a place you need to check out.
