Stop by JoBurg to see the sights or just stretch them legs. Located on Highway 395, in the Rand Mining area, these local desert towns were indeed named after South African places. Check out 'boot hill' cemetery for the Burro Schmidt crew.

Blink & miss it kinda town. Located along deserted Hwy.395 in a rustic mining area in the high desert. Locals sometimes call it Jo-burg. Or "the burg" referring to either this place & nearby Randsburg, or both. Great back country camping spots can be found throughout the Ridgecrest deserts.
