CA Skiing Mountains

The local SoCal mountains get a bit of snow, but they have snow making machines that work nightly to produce a fair amount. Grab your skis or snowboard & get away this weekend!

Rent a snowboard at the local sporting goods store & head up the hill. Be sure to check our traffic page to forsee problem areas. The mountains have plenty of areas to play besides the ski resorts. A favorite with many is to find a sloped clearing off the side of the highway. Or trek up to your favorite abandoned campground & experiment with the terrain there.

Yosemite... a true Winter Wonderland

Snow shoe, cross country ski, iceskate & enjoy Yosemite park in the off-season. Badger Pass ski shuttle transports folks from the valley to the ski resort daily.
