Campgrounds
The big campground here has over 100 sites, but they are well spaced out on several loops with shady oak trees, large meadows, and a creek. Warmer months can be quite hot here, so make sure you bring water & not hike mid-day. Also try the walk-in campground below with walk-in spots for more seclusion.

Pinnacles Hiking
This pinnacles area is a great day trip from the Monterey or San Francisco Bay area. Plenty of hiking trails among these bazaar volcanic landscapes. Summer months can be very hot, so plan accordingly.
RockClimbing
This region is porous lava rock. You are advised to talk to a ranger for rock climbing restrictions and purchase a guide book for specific routes.
