Once again, we are running from the flames in the forest! This summer the westside of Lassen NF is burning out of control. I, DanaMite, have recently been evacuated from work and home - living in limbo, until the massive Park Fire is under control. This is the third wildfire (in the past four years) that has personally affected my life.

This Total Escape website is DanaMite's creation for California outdoor travels. An independent guide to the back roads and a massive small town directory. A labor of love, updated monthly, over two dozen years - and it needs your support to stay alive and online.
