This is the remote, rural, river recreation area of Northern California. HappyCamp is as far away from a big town as you can get. The small town itself is not very impressive, but the surrounding areas are total wilderness, rivers, creeks & perfect for outdoor folks wanting to really escape the mainstream.

small community on the Klamath River. Way outta the way spot for avid fishermen & outdoor lovers. The access is long & winding river highway. Rock slides are quite common. May as well stay a few days and enjoy the scenery. Town is not much to look at here, so focus on the river and creeks.
