This little creekside destination known as Paradise is north of Bishop & I'm not sure this place still is even here. The rugged road sits at the top of Round Valley, overlooking Rovana, right below Round Valley Peak & gigantic Mount Tom. Wildfire ripped thru here in winter of 2015: Over 7,000 acres burnt & 50 homes lost.

North of Bishop, as you are driving up the grade, look to the left at the majestic Eastern Sierra towering above the small homes below. A full moon blanketing this valley below - with a fresh coat of snow, is a vision from a storybook or holiday card. Swall Meadows & Paradise both heavy residential, burned badly in the wildfire of 2015, which oddly occurred in FEBRUARY (winter) - after years of drought in California.
