Fairview California is also known as Upper Kern or McNally's (one of the few remaining businesses left along this stretch of the Sierra highway). There is awesome fishing all around, great camping, mountain biking, river rafting, river kayaking, hiking, backpacking, off roading. An outdoor lover's dreamscape. This is way up Kern Canyon, 20 miles above Kernville & half way to the most southern Sequoia grove @ Ponderosa. Trail of One Hundred Giants, an easy, paved hike in a Sequoia grove.

Deep in the Kern River Valley, where minimal trees line the riverbeds & the bigger pines can be found close by. Great camping and backpacking just north of here along the many Forest Service roads
