Big Sur Beach Camping
Beach Camping, Redwood Campgrounds & Creekside Spots
This Limekiln State Park has a fairly small campground for the Big Sur coastline. Less than 50 sites qualifies this place as a Total Escape prime choice. The campsites sites are divided up into ocean front spots, as well as creek side camping & camping inside a redwood grove. Three separate loops makes for better privacy.
Nearby, Julia Pfiefer Burn State Park offers 2 eco camp spots, but these primitive sites have to be the best in cliff camping anywhere in Central & Southern California. Located on a small rocky peninsula with forested hill top, on a cliff, over looking the beautiful Pacific at dangerous heights. A gorgeous cove below is off limits to hikers and home to the most photographed waterfall along this coastline, McWay Falls.

Lots of history in the canyon. If you have no idea of what a kiln is, take the hike & find out. The waterfall trail is also a very short hike.
