This remote destination is tucked way back in the woods. North of the Sierra Nevada mountains, near Lassen Peak which is part of a volcanic chain, the Cascade Range that runs north to Canada. The community has been spared by the recent wildfire DixieFire 2021. Forested, paved roads, dirt roads, residential cabins, mountain homes, and a historic 'mountain resort' that features rental cabins.
Bitching one lane back road (CA 172), creeks, trails, camp sites, fishing creeks, swimming holes, and dirt roads. Get a USFS map, seriously. Several developed campgrounds nearby.
