Eastern Sierra at its finest, some of the best fall colors every autumn season. The first dusting of snow is usually October, and it may have already happened. It's high country scenery without the crowds... hike, bike, fish, explore. Cabins, lodges, even a scenic loop. Just north of Mammoth, June Lake California is a smaller community, less population = less people, has great day hikes w/ many lakes, peaks and creeks nearby. Dramatic Inyo National Forest borders Yosemite on the eastern side. Fish Reverse and Rush Creek this fall!
