Easily, one of the weirdest places in California that Total Escape has visited. This small desert community has some bizarre stuff. The Darwin Falls hike attracted us, the desert scenery kept us & the town perplexed us. Old mining camp turned artists refuge? By all the 'no trespassing' signs, we figured the real recluse types live here. Odd place to live, but to each their own.

description:
You hafta know where you're going to find this spec of a town. And once you there you will wonder "why on earth would anyway stay here?" Let's just put it this way 'some people like their solitude'.
A historic mining center just west of Death Valley National Park & tucked up behind Panamint Springs. Wondrous scenery, a desert mountain region w/ vegetation.
